Traceability
A timeline of every revision of a product over time. Use it to understand how a design evolved and to compare states at a glance.
Last updated
Overview
The Traceability page shows the full lineage of a product's revisions in chronological order. Pick a product on the left and the timeline appears on the right with one entry per revision, including timestamps and lifecycle stage at the time of the revision.
Selecting a product
The left panel has a search field labeled Search products (3+ chars)…. Type at least three characters to look up a product, then click a result to load its lineage. The Traceability view loads on demand, so nothing is fetched until you actually pick a product.
The revision timeline
The timeline lists each revision from oldest to newest (or newest first, depending on your sort), with:
- • A thumbnail of the product at that revision when available.
- • A title identifying the revision.
- • The creation date of the revision.
- • The lifecycle stage at the time the revision was captured.
Filters
Above the timeline you can:
- • Filter by lifecycle: All lifecycles, Draft, Prototype In Work, In Review, Released, or Obsolete.
- • Restrict by date range with From and To pickers (UTC dates, inclusive).
- • Click Reset to clear all filters at once.
What each entry shows
Each revision entry surfaces:
- • Date in
YYYY-MM-DDformat. - • Lifecycle stage at the time of the revision.
- • Title or label that helps you identify the change.
Tips
- • Combine date filters with the lifecycle filter to focus on, say, all In Review revisions in a given month.
- • Use Traceability before promoting a product to Released to confirm the revision history matches your expectations.
- • Pair it with Product Lifecycle for the complementary stage-based view.
