Data Management
The Export Management page (titled 'Data Management' in the app) is where you organize products in folders and export STEP or STL files.

Overview
Open Export Management in the dashboard sidebar. The page shows a file-manager-style table of your products on the right and a folder list on the left. Use it when you want to focus on file output rather than active editing.
The file table
The table shows each product as a row with these columns:
| Menu | Per-row dropdown for export and other actions |
| Title | Product name |
| Created at | When the product was first created |
| Modified | When the product was last updated |
| Export Types | Available formats — STEP, STL |
| Creator | Username that owns the product |
Folders
Use folders to group related products. Every account starts with the default QuantCAD Products folder (the unfiled bucket). You can:
- • Create new folders
- • Rename folders
- • Delete folders (only when empty)
- • Move a product between folders via the row menu, or with the Move Product dialog
Exporting STEP and STL
Click the chevron in the Menu column of any row. The dropdown offers:
- • Export as STEP (*.STEP)
- • Export as STL (Draft) (*.STL)
- • Export as STL (Normal) (*.STL)
- • Export as STL (High) (*.STL)
Exports run in the background. When ready, the file downloads automatically and you'll see a confirmation toast. If something goes wrong, the toast shows an error message you can act on.
STL quality presets
Draft
Coarsest mesh. Smallest file. Best for quick previews and iteration.
Normal
Balanced detail and file size. Good default for most prints.
High
Finest mesh. Largest file. Use for smooth surfaces or visual detail.
STEP exports are not affected by the STL quality preset — they preserve the underlying B-rep geometry.
Editing properties
Each row also exposes a Properties dialog where you can edit a product's title and an optional description (up to 300 characters). The same dialog appears in the Dashboard list — edits made anywhere are reflected everywhere.
