Account & Billing
Privacy & Data
A plain-English summary of what we keep, what's public, and how to get your data out — or deleted entirely.
Last updated
What we store
- • Account data — your email, display name, account creation date, and authentication state (managed by Clerk).
- • Prompts and revisions — every Build and Ask you send, plus the resulting revisions of your products.
- • Generated geometry — the 3D models QuantCAD produces for you, stored alongside the product they belong to.
- • Usage history — how many prompts you sent, which mode (Build vs Ask), and credits consumed.
- • Billing records — invoices and subscription metadata, processed via Stripe.
What we don't store
- • Payment card details — those go directly to Stripe, never to us.
- • Files from your local machine — QuantCAD does not currently import existing CAD files.
Free-tier projects and the catalog
On the Free plan, your projects may be used to improve the product and to showcase the public catalog (this is stated on the Pricing page). If you don't want your work used this way, upgrade to a paid plan — Pro and Business projects are private.
Private projects on Pro and above
On Pro and Business, all your projects are private — visible only to you. They are not used to showcase the public catalog. Enterprise plans offer additional controls; contact sales for details.
Exporting your data
For each product you can:
- • Export STEP and STL files — these contain only the geometry, not your prompts.
- • Capture PNG and JPG screenshots of the viewer.
- • Browse your full revision history on the Traceability page.
For a full data export beyond what the UI exposes, contact us via our support form.
Deleting your data
Account and full data deletion are handled by request to keep them safe and auditable. Open the Privacy tab on your Account page and click Request Data Deletion — this opens a support ticket pre-routed to the right team. We'll confirm the scope before deleting anything.
Individual products can be removed from the dashboard at any time. Folders in Data Management can be deleted once empty.
