DMCA Policy
How to report alleged copyright infringement on QuantCAD, our Designated Agent contact, the counter-notice procedure, and our repeat-infringer policy.
Last updated: April 26, 2026 • Version: 1.2
1. Who we are and scope
This Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") Policy describes how ZeroEnd Technology AB (Sweden), doing business under the brand QuantCAD ("we", "us", "our"), responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement on the QuantCAD website at www.quantcad.ai and the related Service.
We maintain a copyright notice-and-takedown process modeled on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512. Although the DMCA is a US statute, we apply a DMCA-style notice-and-takedown framework to all users globally as a matter of platform policy. This DMCA Policy supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Service and Legal Notices.
2. Copyright contact and Designated Agent status (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2))
Submission channel (preferred): Support Ticket → Legal, with subject line "DMCA Notice".
Mail (alternative):
ZeroEnd Technology AB
Attn: Copyright Agent
Järpvägen 41B
75653 Uppsala, Sweden
Status: Registration with the US Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory is in progress. Until that registration is complete, this interim notice process is a platform policy and should not be read as a representation that (a) DMCA Designated Agent registration has been completed, or (b) the Service currently qualifies for any DMCA safe harbor. Once registration is complete, the public listing will be available at dmca.copyright.gov/osp and this page will be updated with the registered agent information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2) and 37 C.F.R. § 201.38, including the agent's public email address and telephone number. During the interim, please use the Support Ticket channel above.
This copyright contact is for infringement notices only. It is not an agent for service of legal process, subpoenas, or non-copyright legal demands.
3. How to submit a DMCA Notice (notification of claimed infringement)
For us to process a copyright complaint under this DMCA-style policy, your notification should be a written communication that includes all of the following. If and when our Designated Agent registration is complete and you intend to submit a statutory DMCA notice, the notice must substantially comply with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (for example, the URL or path within the Service).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as your address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Knowingly false notices. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing shall be liable for any damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, by any copyright owner or copyright owner's authorized licensee, or by us as a service provider. We may report repeated bad-faith notifications to the appropriate authorities.
Privacy. A copy of the DMCA Notice (including the contact information you provide) may be sent to the user who posted the allegedly infringing material, in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(2).
4. Our response to a valid DMCA Notice
If we receive a notification that substantially complies with Section 3, we will, where appropriate:
- Expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material;
- Take reasonable steps to notify the user who posted the material (where applicable) of the takedown and provide them with a copy of the notification or its substantive content;
- Inform the user of the counter-notification procedure in Section 5; and
- Maintain a record of the notice and our response as required by law and our retention policies.
If a notification is defective (for example, missing required elements under Section 3), we may, where reasonable, request the missing information before taking action. We also reserve the right to remove, disable, restrict, preserve, or report content where we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, prevent infringement, preserve evidence, or protect users, third parties, or the Service. Nothing in this Policy requires us to host, restore, or continue displaying content that violates our Terms of Service, applicable law, or another person's rights.
5. Counter-Notification (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3))
If your material was removed or disabled in response to a DMCA Notice and you believe in good faith that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification that includes all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of:
- the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (if you are in the United States), or
- any judicial district in which we may be found (if your address is outside the United States); and
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification under Section 3 or that person's agent.
Submit counter-notifications via the same channels as Section 2.
What happens after a valid counter-notification. Where the statutory DMCA counter-notice process applies, we will promptly provide a copy of the counter-notification to the original complainant and inform them that we will replace or restore access to the removed material not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receipt of the counter-notification, unless we first receive notice from the complainant that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringer from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material. For notices handled only under our platform policy, or where restoration would violate our Terms, applicable law, or another person's rights, we may decline to restore the material or may restore it with conditions.
Knowingly false counter-notifications. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification shall be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
6. Repeat-Infringer Policy (17 U.S.C. § 512(i))
Consistent with our DMCA-style platform policy and our Terms of Service, we have adopted and reasonably implement a policy that provides for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. This policy applies to account termination and other account restrictions; it does not limit our ability to remove or restrict particular content after a single valid complaint or other evidence of infringement.
We assess "repeat infringer" status taking into account, among other factors:
- the number of valid DMCA Notices received against a user's account;
- whether the user has submitted unsuccessful counter-notifications;
- court orders, settlements, admissions, or other reliable evidence of infringement;
- the severity, scope, and willfulness of the alleged infringement; and
- whether the user has received prior warnings.
Termination decisions of this kind are reviewed with human oversight before they take effect, in accordance with Privacy Policy §8.5.
7. Other intellectual-property concerns
This DMCA Policy applies specifically to claims of copyright infringement under US law. For:
- Trademark complaints (including QuantCAD trademark misuse) — submit via Support Ticket → Legal.
- Patent, trade-secret, right-of-publicity, or defamation claims — submit via Support Ticket → Legal.
- Privacy complaints (including unauthorized publication of personal data, GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA/CPRA/PIPEDA/Quebec Law 25 rights, doxxing) — submit via Support Ticket → Privacy & Compliance.
- EEA — illegal-content reporting under the Digital Services Act (DSA) — see Terms of Service §16 and Report Abuse.
8. EU Copyright Directive (Article 17) and equivalent rules
For users in the EU, we will also assess copyright complaints under applicable EU and Member State copyright laws, including Directive (EU) 2019/790 where it applies. Nothing in this Policy is an admission that QuantCAD is an "online content-sharing service provider" under Article 17 or any national implementing law. Where a non-US copyright notice is submitted, please include the same practical information described in Section 3 so we can locate and evaluate the material.
9. Changes to this DMCA Policy
We may update this DMCA Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date and version number. Past versions of this Policy are retained internally and are available on request via Support Ticket → Legal.
